Honestly guys, you're going to drive yourself insane if you're trying to judge the quality of your TVs by watching ITV4. The bit-rate - and resulting picture quality - of the broadcasts are typically so low that i'd doubt any decent-sized Full HD screen could render them happily watchable.

Add in the rubbish weather/atmospherics and you've a recipe for viewing woe.

Go watch a nice Blu-ray - or HD channel; or at least a main terrestrial channel - instead. PLEASE!

Okay on THX mode on some other channels as well i get a black and white thin strip across the top of the picture, so watching thx mode for me is never going to be a good idea, any ideas what could be going on? Also get blurring images.

Thanks

whats your tv source ? sky hd box ? if so do you see the black and white strip when using the tvs built in freesat or freeview tuner ? do you see it with blu-rays ? if its a problem with the tv you should see it with all sources .. check that out ..

D.J.KRIME:A basic rule of thumb re overscan is to have it set to OFF for native HD and ON for SD content.

Okay thanks for the tip, appreciate that, cheers
