Hi,

My current TV is a Plasma Panasonic 50GT50. I’m looking to replace and wondered on opinions. It seems the £800 65B4 have sold out so is £900 ish and with the C4 at £1,099 (seen at £1,000 although not sure on retailer) think it’s worth step up, although that’s my limit.

Then I saw Sony 65X90 is £1,099 as well. I would go with a Panasonic again as the picture quality on my Plasma has always been great but I don’t know the models well enough.

Any ideas from the gurus here? Picture, films and gaming most important sound doesn’t bother me too much.
Budget £1,099
65C4
65X90
A Panasonic model?

1) You can phone Richer Sounds and ask them where is the B4 available, and you can order over the phone.

2) Where did you find the C4 deal? You can ask Richer Sounds to price beat it if the terms match.

3) LG C4 is the best option for your budget, or the B4 if you can find one. The Sony X90 is not an OLED and if you're coming from a plasma, the OLED screen may suit your needs better. There are no Panasonic OLED models in your budget.

There is a 65B42 on LG website with 5 year warranty for £819, you also get 5 per cent of for being a new member I believe and an extra 2 per cent for being a member. So you should get 7 per cent off the LG 65B42:

We have just bought the LG 55B42 from Costco for £408 and it’s a really good TV. Best pictures are via Sky, BBCiplayer etc, Freeview main channels are good, when you go above channel 10 on Freeview reception can be mix. It has good sound really good sound, blacks are great.

The LG65C4 is a cracking TV so is the Samsung 65S90D QD-OLED TV. I have the Samsung model before this TV the C and it is brilliant, you can price match this TV for £1000 at RGB Direct with Richer Sounds too. You generally can’t go wrong with the C4 or Samsung though. Both are high end TVs at cracking prices.

RGB Direct are doing the Samsung here:

Get Richer Sounds to price match.

LG 65C4 here:

It would seem that Richer Sounds are already doing the best deal at £1200 although this retailer is doing it for £1100:

It does say final clearance on it but I would’ve thought Richer Sounds would still price match, it’s worth a shot.

You will see on LG home page right at the bottom this:
That’s 7 per cent off you get.

Thank you really helpful and didn’t know about the LG member that makes the B4 65 about £770. Think I’ll see if they will match that price you found richer sounds and go from there. Thanks again!

Thanks for the info. It was Hills Sound and Audio as the link below. I only looked at the X90 as it got such good reviews but looking at Curry’s earlier think I’m definitely going with the B4 or C4. Although I’m going to need to hurry I think 2024 stock is definitely drying up quick. Thanks so much for your help! Looking to get on the coming Thursday so hopefully at least one of them will be in stock somewhere ☺️.

You can pay 3 easy payments with Klarna at LG and Richer Sounds or buy now pay 30 days later with Klarna if you don’t want it to go out of stock, if that helps.
