Mordaunt Short Mezzo 6 Mid Bass Driver

Hi I am looking for some expertise and advice. I purchased a set of Mezzo 6 floorstanders circa 18 months ago however there is a buzzing noise coming from the top Mid Bass driver on one on of the speakers during heavy bass segments. Someone has advised this is due to a defectove voicecoil in the driver. Sadly the shop that I purchased the speakers from are refusing to accpet there is a fault with the speaker so I had the speaker independantly tested which has shwn there is a fault with it. I have tried contacting Mordaunt Short directly and so has the indepedent high end hi-fi specialist who tested the speaker but neither of us are having any success.

Would anyone know the best way to contact them or do they have a service department I could contact?

Name and shame the shop.

Show shop the independent report and inform them of your rights as a consumer. Primarily, it is the shop with which you should be dealing and they should know that.

If you still have no joy, trading standards and or the small claims courts are next.

If there is a genuine fault, the goods could well be below 'sufficient quality', having only lasted 18 months.
