Monitor Audio Gold 200 5G vs Mordaunt Short Performance 6

Can't work out if this would be an upgrade or downgrade in terms of audio quality. Main reason I like the Performance 6 is because of their looks. They are much older speakers than the Gold 5G. I'm unsure if speaker technology advancement has made them superior in terms of audio.

Amplification is Tag McLaren 60iR / 60P.

If you cannot hear them un your own listening room stock with what you have unless you get rhem for a great price and can sell them on at a profit.

Hi, from my experience, Monitor Audio speakers will be better balanced and less picky about your system. Mordaunt Short Performance 6 are excellent but very picky. I will not buy them witout possibility to listen to them with your McLaren Audio amplifier. Anyway, you have got a cool system😉.

There are a grey pair for sale on eBay. I want them in black. So I'll wait until a pair is listed for sale. They are rarely sold on eBay so I'll have to be patient. I'll just blind buy them as they are only around £1500.

Most sellers don't seem to keep the boxes which makes transporting them awkward.
