I am about to purchase a pair of these speakers from a local seller. One of the mid-range drivers is dented.

I see there is one for a Performance 5 on eBay:

Was it the same model on the Performance 6?

No.
The Performance 6 had 6.5" (165mm) transducer.
There's one on eBay but it's in US.
Note: the Performance 5 was a centre speaker not a floorstander like the 6

Why not contact the manufacturer, as a new one may not be as expensive as you think.

Mordaunt Short don't have any spares. I emailed them and Cambridge Audio replied stating they handle their customer support. They weren't helpful.

Al is saying, do not buy defective speakers until the vendor fixes them...I'd be looking elsewhere myself...hey but that's just me.

Its only cosmetic damage. I can purchase the replacement driver and swap it out myself.
