Have you tried the usual? Sky+ Rebuild, system reset etc.?

Then it's a lottery re: what they will suggest.

Also in the Settings menu there is an option to adjust lip synch in steps of 20mS up to 100mS as I remember.

Try that I am sure things will improve

Hi, is the problem of lip sync only with certain channels? I've had a similar problem with channel 4 lately. I'm on Virgin and it only happens with channel 4. It is more obvious with CH4 HD, but you can still make it out on SD at times. It is not a constant thing though leading me to think it's something CH4 is doing rather than the Virgin box itself.

I know I sound like a stuck record, but I'll say the same as I always say; contact Sky customer support. It's their responsibility to sort this out and provide you with the service you expect. The same applies to Virgin customers. We'd all like to hear how you get on and what solutions are offered.

Agreed, but also make use of the tools to hand in the Services menus!

most sky users will encounter this problem at some stage, the quickest way to sort the problem is to break the digital connection between the sky box and the tv or reciever best way simple switch it off normally a quick power down of the sky box will do it, if not kill power to all, this will reset the digital connection (handshaking) between sky box tv/reciever, but if this is a constant problem then i would suggest getting onto sky.

when you sometimes start playing a anytime stored programme you get out of sync problems but by pressing stop (not backup) then restarting also normally solevs the problem, happy hunting

There has been lip sync problems on most of my skyhd channels of late. If i have lip sync it is usally cured by pressing the pause button , then resuming play ,but latley it seems to be happening daily. Sky wont admit any problems anyway

dont know if this helps, as i have been having problems with popcorn hour not sky but the same may apply.
we all buy this AV kit and we are told best way to watch films is to set video at 1080p 24hz which is true but here lies the problem some material is not filmed at this rate(24hz) so when we play back and the material is 50/60hz this i know for me causes lip sync issues and judder in the video. and also many devices are capable of automatic lip sync but also found that for me i only enable in my last link to TV which is my receiver.

Anybody had anythign like this with Freesat? Lip sync issues* are part of my reasoning for jumping ship from Sky soon, I'm pretty sick of paying to be my own technician and much else rto do with Sky in general.

*Pretty much only with recordings of HD channels.

Think you will find that Sky, Virgin are only responsible for the first 12 months then you own the equipment and are responsible. Sky didn't even offer me a discounted deal on a new box. So make sure that you contact customer services whenever it happens, within that first year so they have a record of the problems your box has caused then you may get a repalcement box for free.
