What leads shoud I be getting , how much should I be spending on them and will the picture quality using this component be good - Want to impress my friends Tonight! The Joytech is a component video cable, not an HDMI, but provided its connectors suit the component video and stereo audio inputs on the TV it should be fine for now.

Buy an HDMI cable to replace it when you can, as this will give you higher-definition video transfer.

The DAV-IS10 will be fine - its HDMI output will plug into another of the Kuro's HDMI inputs, and you'll also need an optical audio cable to connect the audio output of the PS3 into the system. This will give you Dolby Digital, dts and stereo audio from the PS3 when playing Blu-ray discs or games, but not the latest HD audio formats, which the DAV-IS10 can't handle.

If you want to run sound from the TV's internal tuner to the DAV-IS10, you'll also need a a conventional stereo analogue connection cable from the TV's analogue out to the system.

Brilliant! - Thanks

So I should still impress the wife when I show her the blu ray this evening ? How much difference can I expect when I buy HDMI ?

When I do buy an HDMI how much should I be spending and any makes that spring to mind ?

Finally I should get SKY HD soon as well which I guess can also be plugged to the DAVIS10 ok for DTS 5.1 etc ?

I've already answered your HDMI question in the second thread you posted (watch that!)

And yes, Sky HD can output sound via optical connection to your Sony system.

One thing to know Jamie is, if / when you get Sky HD and need to connect it up to the DAV-IS10 as well, this only has one optical input so you'd need something like this to hook both the Sky HD box and the PS3 up at the same time.

Don't think so I'm afraid. It's from a different company than where my friend bought his, but this is a manual switch. I haven't seen an auto switching optical switcher I'm afraid (or even one with a remote).
