Hi,

I have Denon 2310 AV receiver and just bought CD player Marantz CD6003.

Pls, for your opinion if it is better to connect both with Digital Optical cable -TCI Coral or with analog RCA interconnect- Atlas Equator MK II. Which connection will provide better sound quality?

10x.

I use a digital interconnect (Coax) from my CD6000Ki to my Marantz AV amp, have done back to back with some very good analogue interconnects and prefer the sound with the digital and using the A/D in the SR6003.

I would have a listen and see which you prefer just connect both to the AV and switch between them.

I would have thought that the DAC on the Denon would be newer and (posibly) better so I would hook up initially with optical. In time buy an external DAC.

Given the recent reviews from forum members like Matthewpiano and its Awards status I would expect you to get better sound by utilisng the onboard DAC of the CD player and output via Analogue RCA. But, like others have said, try it both ways ans see what you prefer....
