Hello everyone.

Just purchased my third pair of Grado Labs headphones, I have now got the 325is'.

I thought I would give them a try with the Asus Essence ST soundcard with built in headphone amplifier.

The normal impendance setting just doesn't seem to go loud enough but there are 2 other settings as follows:

High Gain +12dB for 64~300 ohms
Extra High Gain 18 dB for 300~600 ohms

Would i be safe using these settings with these headphones, i would love the extra volume, the Normal Gain just doesn't seem enough in some songs.

Thanks guys.

I think thats the quickest reply I have ever seen, thanks mate.

My SR60s and 125's broke within a year and I don't want it to happen again with my 325's ;/

NP - it's either that or watching the football. You won't cause any damage...

No, and they make you look like a fool, but they're fantastic aren't they?

Thirty minutes listening and my small ears start to hurt a little bit though. Oh well the vodka will numb that.

(They just need some new pads, i think?)

And yes they ARE fantastic, listening to Heligoland on FLAC atm.

Only thing that worrys me is that I didn't get a receipt from SuperFI, and my last 2 Grado's failed pretty quick. ;/

Can I have my old Grados repaired without a receipt?

(The Cure sounds amazing) ;)
