Cheers guys, just been switching between professional 1 settings and 2 and I think I prefer professional 1 settings they are brighter than 2. My HDMI cables just turned up! When the Blu-Ray picture comes on it says 1080p is that right?

Yes, of course that's right, when the set it receiving a 1080p signal from Blu-ray!!! It doesn't say 1080p for any other source, does it?

All my televisions show (for about 10 seconds) the resolution of the new source, when the source is changed.

Nice pictures Gel! Black detail very impressive.

Just a shame this forum squashes the photos so the TV only looks like a 40"!
Cheers buddy! *smile*

I still don't think I get 4K up-scaling! Anymore info guys?

To be honest these are the first OLED shots I have seen that look like Plasma beaters. Good calibrator - done a good job on that, almost as good as what I would do 🙂

The aspect ratio will be disturbed I suspect. This is just to show that if your TV isn't upscaling to 4K, the picture will fill only 25% of the screen. The rest will be blank. So all that red in the picture will be black.

1080p picture has 4 times less pixels than a 4K screen.

Upscaling simply means that the TV will multiply the pixels 4 times through a complex algorithm so that it can fill all its 4K pixels by the 1080p picture. Upscaling does not mean quality will improve. It's simply scaling the picture up. Hope this is clear.

Gel i hope you didn't struggle to get the beast out the top of the box, their are plastic pieces at the bottom of the box, four in total just remove them an lift the box off the tv.

some good pics if you have the discs miht be the opening sequence of Bladerunner or the section in China Town, also the Skyfall section in Honk Kong (i think its here anyway)

If you have Underworld the firts sceen would be good as well before she jumps to the floor!

Transformers will probably be good for Colours and the opening sequence of the Dark Knight shuld show some fantastic colour
