I am about to take the plunge and buy my first HD TV. Even having read many reviews I am still torn between the Panasonic HD ready TH-37PX80B, and two full HD sets - the Sony KDL-40W4000, and the Panasonic 37LZD800. I will be watching a mixture of SD (including sport), and HD, both through a Sky HD box, upscaled DVD, and Blu-Ray DVD. Viewing distance will be 10-15 ft. Reviews of all of these TV's are great, but something is niggling at me, telling me to get a full HD set because it will be better overall, even if only for watching Blu-Ray, and more "future-proof". The TH-37PX80B is a lot cheaper, but I would rather pay more and get the best. Money aside, which is the better TV?
Apologies as a "newby" for any stupidity in my confusion!

Many thanks for any advice.

At 10-15ft viewing distance you wont be able to see any difference with a 1080p panel.

Save your money and get the PX80.

The plasma will be better for sport and fast action scenes in films
