I note that Clare has changed her signature:

Editorial Director, White Room Technology Creative Agency

Contributor to - and former Group Editor of - What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision & whathifi.com

Have I missed something?

I wish her all the best in her new venture.

David Price moved from his berth as Editor at Hi Fi World too in the last month or so. Bit of moving round going on it seems!

It would appear that Dan George of HI FI Choice has also hung up his editor's hat . Sounds like a conspiracy to me ,

Hello everyone!

Yes, 31st December was my last day as a staff member of WHF, though I'm still going to be working closely with the team (I'm heading out to CES with them next week, for example, and will remain a moderator here on the Forums) plus other Haymarket colleagues.

I've set up my own business alongside other creative types, so we'll be offering writing, photography, video, training, consultancy etc - all with a specialist focus on consumer electronics. This allows me to enjoy more of the work I was dabbling in on a freelance basis before - eg writing for national newspapers; scripting/storyboarding product videos - and take up projects that simply wouldn't have fitted in with full-time WHF work.

It's something that's been planned for some time, so it's exciting to finally be up and running. :)

So I will be around here on whatfi.com less, but around all the same - watch out for some blogs on 2012 tech from CES next week!

Not a conspiracy, but down to change of ownership of Hi-Fi Choice (and Home Cinema Choice, and What Satellite). They were sold by Future to MyHobbyStores (already owner of Hi-Fi News) and very few of the staff have gone with the titles.

David Price moves from Hi-Fi World to take over as editor of Hi-FI Choice in its new home.

I had no idea there would be so many other industry machinations going on when I made my own move! There was certainly a lot to talk about at industry Christmas parties :)

Ahh, now understand why you mentioned "I run very good training courses."

Good luck, pp

Good luck Clare.
If you run the new business with the same drive and dedication you've shown there at WHF, it'll work out great!

At least now we can put an end to all the rumours that she's gone off to start a KLF tribute band...

All the best with the new venture Clare, likewise any other hi-fi magazine Editor that's up sticks and moved on of late!
