..and at first glance (the usual quick romp through the favorite bits of my SD DVD collection) I am really impressed. The colours and definition just look fabulous on my Panny 42PX80. But...I am aware (just by the catalogue-mode instructions) that I may only be scratching its surface, so does anyone have any views on what I might 'look' for when really 'testing' it out, how I might better work it over that simply drooling over the blacks, the whites and (of course) Ewan McGregor in Moulin Rouge. I read reviews of this which suggested it was 'anything but plug and play'. But all I did was...well...plug and it played!! Think I need a lie down. JJ

That'll teach you to read reviews from people that can't even work a simple DVD player

Glad you agree with us that it's a fantastic player - enjoy Ewan! (I love that film - in my top 10.)

If you have them, any of the Lord of the Rings films are good all-round testers - from the bright colours of the Shires to the slow panning panoramic mountain shots to the gloomy cave scenes (low-light detail tester).

Oh yes top 10 for sure. But right now its my 'something for the weekend'!

My problem is...I work from home....and right now productivity is taking a dive :)

Thanks for all the help and advice (and I'm not finished yet) Sky HD coming on Tuesday! Swoon! JJ
