Hi All,

Is anyone registered with Vinyl Engine and could download a couple of user manuals for me? I thought I was registered, but can't find either my username or password (I have tried all combinations) without success, and the forum is closed for new registrations for some reason.

I have bought myself an early Christmas pressie and taken the plunge on a vintage Ariston RD-11e and Jelco SA50 tonearm...and would like to get hold of the manuals to answer questions (hopefully) such as any cartridge positioning info for the tonearm and why the TT has two pitch control dials🙂

The links are:
https://www.vinylengine.com/library/ariston/rd-11.shtml

and

https://www.vinylengine.com/library/jelco/sa-50.shtml

Huge thanks in advance to anyone who could spare the time to do this. VinylEngine is the only place I can find which has scans of the original manuals.

RD11 Design was stolen by Linn for the LP12
After this ariston had no funds left and the RD11e was a re-badged Fons FQ30

Jelco SA-50 has a S shaped arm with plug in cartridge
Ortofon SPU , Music , Concordes just plug in

I’d love to help, but for the last six months or so I get a VPN error from Vinyl Engine. They offer me to contact them if I cannot resolve it, but don’t seem to appreciate that contact via a web form also fails to work.

My distant recollection is that each speed had a separate pot on the Ariston, so you just need an incandescent bulb to shine on the strobe markings. Arm alignment can be done with any standard protractor.

Many thanks. Yes, the TT arrived late yesterday afternoon and after a bit of trial and error I figured out that there is a separate pot/dial for 33.3 and 45 rpm speeds. There is a window/mirror/light arrangement so that you can view the strobe markings on the side of the platter and dial in the pitch...but it's a bit rough and ready so I might invest in one of the test discs in the long term.

I'm new to this site and seek manuals (operation and service) for some vintage 70s Quad equipment that are on VinylEngine. I see that some legacy users of that site have been generous and willing to download and email manuals from there and I'm hoping someone will be kind enough to do the same for me. I'm not sure how to private message someone with my email address here so if you are familiar with this and can help please let me know.

The manuals I'm seeking are:

Thanks!

I have sent you a message. Need your email address as the manuals are PDF and can't upload them to here.
Would it be too daring to ask you to download a service manual for me? I am looking for kenwood p-71 turntable, had no luck finding anywhere else 🙁 Your help would be much appreciated
