M20 linked to TV and wiim pro

Sorry for the seemingly basic question, new to all of this. What is the best way to link my q acoustic m20 speakers to my TV and wiim pro. Would running optical from the TV to the wiim optical in and then optical out from wiim into the speakers suffice? Or would I need to use rca somewhere?

Also if a TV is linked to the WiFi, and TV linked to the speaker via optical, when using the Spotify app via the TV, are you likely to get similar quality as with using the wiim inbetween?

What you described should work perfectly, no RCA cables needed, just two optical ones. However you may run into lip sync issues with the TV connected this way.

What I would do is connect the WiiM via analogue RCA, and connect your TV via optical. Compare the sound to your suggested setup. If no difference, I would do it my way.

And yes if your TV has Spotify, then the M20 will play it.

Lastly get yourself a One For All universal remote, it's going to make your life a lot less painful.
