Ooooh... I really like it.

So do I in a funny sort of way. Like those gold buttons with same layout as their other kit. I wonder what they do. (You only need on/off and speed change, so how come 4 buttons. Is one a dummy???

I guess they have one is for stop and the other for go.

Cannot see any hinges for a lid so it's scratch this one in my opinion.

When are TT manufacturers going to learn that although it may look very pretty it still needs a cover.....

I still would at the right price. Looks stunning and ever-so-slightly retro. Regards the buttons I can only think one is for speed and the other is a 'On/Off' button or switch.

Yup looks like a Jelly to me too. So this deck , just another Rega with a few gold buttons to play with

play nicely :)

Personally I like the look of the RP10 more - but £3k its a bit of a joke! The Electro will no doubt sound great!

I have been banned from Mrs B from looking at any TT porn for the foreseeable future.

How about 33/45/78. start/stop. Or start/stop 33/45 (in or out) and two speed adjusts for use with the aid of a strobe disc. I'm going for 33/45/78 start/stop. :). Yip 78s are hip.

TTs are soup of the day. So obv Electro want to dip their bread into it.

From that Norwegian interview:

Where can compete for money to a rather small - according to some pessimists ever smaller - group of affluent audiophiles, mainly good middle-aged men.

EC Living, a new division, and will probably soon become very much larger than the others we are doing. But it is symbolic that we come with a turntable at the same time. Should we continue to have some of the best in high end, must finance this with other products with greater volume, says Michal Dreggevik Dagbladet.

So they will mass produce AVR separates with robots and just for fun they will cater this turntable to their audiophile niche of clients even at a loss.

I have, of course only seen photos of the TT, nice it may be but it does not look overly expensive in any way (unless there is a very expensive direct-drive mechanism hidden from view).

I fail to see how they will be making a loss on it if it is priced as has been suggested.

The cost is always in the labor in such projects, not as much in the materials.

As for the buttons, how about on/off, speed selector, and two buttons pitch control.

Not likely given the perfectly visible pulley and belt.

Is that what it is? I've got to get rid of this CRT monitor.

Well then, I rest my case m'lud.

As for the cost being in the labour, don't make me laugh.

vladimir you are a gem.

Ever tried to replace a belt on your TT? It's bl**dy hard! ... while holding a beer!

And maybe they charge extra for getting the "special" rubber band. The one that comes "free" is leftover from last year pickle jars.

How big are your pickle jars? The belt on the Electro TT goes around the perimeter of the platter.

At £3000 I can only hope that there is some sort of EMC system built into the sub plinth and it comes with the arm and a half decent starter cartridge, that might just about make the price acceptable.

But then if you look at what else you get for £ 3000 maybe it is not that bad after all .
