E-mailed Pionner the other day with regaurds to the failed DTS HD firmware and had this response.

 Thanks for contacting Pioneer. It will be released this month, but I don't have a specific date yet.

 

Fingers crossed but somehow I won't hold my breath.

At least the new models from Pioneer can decode everything on-board, even the budget unit.
