Dacmagic lack of sound

Digital is being a pain and starting to get a bit hacked off -

Have just got a Chord 2 phono to 5 pin DIN it's connected to my Pre-Amp Tuner input , Laptop USB connected to my new DAC & hardwired Ethernet (solves wireless issues) for LAN connectivity to music files on Main PC. Am using Foobar after seeing PJ's excellent Primer post.
Anyway my issue is now no sound from my speakers its playing though Laptops. DACMAGIC is recognised by PC and I have a headphone socket to DIN and if I use this direct to my Pre-amp Tuner input all is okay.
I'm using ASIOFORALL as Dacmagic shows as C-Media USB Headphone set in volume tab of XP Sound & Device properties. Also have old 4 x phono to DIN and its performs the same.

Any ideas anyone ??

Resolved by changing Foobar Output Device to use Primary Sound Driver - Cant use ASIO4ALL V2 - Dont really understand why will need to check it out more or if anyone can advise cheers?

Take at look at this site. Clicky. An excellent resource for asio4all and setting it up with foobar2000. Also got some stuff on the software architecture in windows.

I using ASIO4ALL right now. I've noticed that I have to turn up much higher on my headphone amp than when using WASAPI.

Methinks I'll add a link to my optimising windows thread....
