Panasonic 50V20, thats not a bad price at £1100, and probably many stores will start to reduce prices around that time after news comes from CES on 2011 ranges. Why such a huge gap in size going from 32" to 50".Unless you want a 32 " lcd than i would forget that one and the 42V20 both seem expensive for what you get.So i would go for 50V20 if you have the room.

Sorry, but your un-punctuated, unbroken stream of consciousness (and use of 'a' instead of 'I') confused me a lot. So I took the liberty of making it a little more easily readable...

"Currys! Need I say more? Help.

I went to Currys looking to buy a Panasonic 42 G20 but (as it's Currys) they had none in stock
until mid January! I asked the guy to sell me the G20 display model but he said he is not allowed to!

Last year they were throwing the G10 display at me, but I wouldn't take it because they would not even take off £50! So I said to the guy... "Just give me the Panasonic 32 D25", but (again) as it's Currys, they had none in stock!

I also said (about their prices for the 50V20 and 42V20) that there's only £100 difference.. "and that's a bit stupid", but I got no answer.

I have a £450 voucher to spend in Currys (due to my CRT TV giving up!) but the guy said to wait until mid January as their TV prices are going down! These are the prices he quoted for mid January...

I wouldn't, I've corrected PokerKing's odd use of "a" instead of "I" in the past and got absolutely ripped to pieces for being a, well I won't say as it would contravene a few rules but it wasn't pretty...

I can't think of anything either more patronising or condescending. Phonetics are obviously a stretch too far...

Neither can I right now, but horribly jetlagged. Give me some sleep and some time, and I'm sure I can come up with something...

I don't know what happened above, but I was trying to agree with "the record spot" on this one.

Nevertheless you can't deny that it would be easier to read if it were written in clearer English. I'd be willing to bet that more than one reader gave up before they finished the OP's post.

You put your comment inside the quotes instead of at the end of the post. You can edit your posts to fix this sort of thing.

So what? I have no idea why the OP posted as he did, maybe he writes in own dialect and stream of consciousness, it's not for me to judge.

No but if people want as much assistance as this forum can offer they're more likely to get it if their question is written and phrased in an intelligible manner.

I repeat my earlier point and would add that it took me a minute or so to read and understand the OP's post as I went. No issues.

I'm pretty sure 99% of people managed to read and understand the post fine. But where would the fun be in just answering the question? Far more fun to take some time out from your radio drama and be a patronising %#@!.

the panasonic plasmas listed are prone to a few niggling issues, however unless you're very picky you may not be bothered by them at all.

i think the best value tv there is the 42g20, it's an excellent set, it doesn't produce the very deep black levels of the v20, but the blacks are still excellent, £150 with your credit note sounds like the best option to me..

Having bought a 42 inch tv in the past, I would personally opt for the 50 V20. That having been said, and given the price difference, the 42 g20 would be a fine choice, but I just think that the larger screen would, to me, be worth the extra expenditure and, after seeing it in the plastic this afternoon, I would be delighted to have it in my living room. Is the larger screen size worth £500 to you?

I thought that was the case and I know you can, thanks for the input. The Mrs has pinched the iPad and reading / posting on the iPhone is sooo difficult.
