Got myself a really nice "cheapy" set up at the mo...

Phillips PDR609 CD player into Marantz PM6005 into AE Aegis 3 speakers.

I'm also using a Rega Planar 3 but it may sound almost heathen-esque, I prefer the sound of a CD.

All connected by some cables I got from KaBL - interconnects and speaker cable.

This is probably the sweetest sounding rig I've ever had - I played Pearl Jam's Ten the other day and was hearing stuff I've never heard before. Amazing.

Next upgrade will be the CD player, and I might treat myself to an Arcam rBlink to connect my iPad....

Nothing wrong with that. The most important lesson in hi-fi is to get what you like, not what someone else thinks. A lot of people on the forum could learn from that.
