Just read the review/bench test in HN&RR.

It seems a bargain if you can call £400 bargain, considering the company developed the hard and software (no cheap of the shelf DAC's) and managed to dress it in quality alu.

I really am very tempted but would have to try first as I have never used a Chord DAC.

The quality headamp function would come in very handy too.

This would replace the Dragonfly ... ?

More clutter ...

Or get the Schmegel D30 that AE reviews on P48.

I plan to buy one in a few months. In the meantime I have the dragonfly 1.2 for desktop use, and an oppo HA-2 is in the post, for mobile use.

Even so it is hard work, stopping myself jumping in, and buying a mojo as well.

I to opted for the HA-2 before the Mojo came out, ******.

However the HA-2 is brilliant.

Shirley HD30? You could if you're going to spend a stack more money.

.....and it's hardly portable. 🙂

After a lot of research, i am going to buy Mojo this monthend. My country distributor can bring it only by this month end.

FYI - i am deciding Mojo over Audiolab M-DAC & Arcam-irDAC.

fot same money I would get Astell&Kern Jr... great product !!

I can use Chord Mojo as a desktop DAC with my Genelec speakers by connecting Toslink out from Chromecast Audio or my 4k TV optical out.

Plus i can use as a Highend Mobile DAC+AMP on my office desk just by connecting to my Mobile 🙂

I think this is the best product i have seen in a while.

fair enough. if toslink is required astellnkern miss that one.. go for it.. I think I can say the same about ' junior' - one of the best and most used ( on the go, car, with active speakers, as usb dac) products I had in a while.

It is a great product and it’s performance far exceeds any other dacs I've tried. I won't repeat all I've said in the other threads but in summary it's the detail retrieval that most impresses. Not just hearing new things as such but hearing new layers in what was always there. Unlike other dacs where you could hear differences with a bit of concentrated effort, with the mojo it's just there even listening casually. It also does something to the flow of music, I can't quite put my finger on it yet, but I think the bass is far more natural so everything just flows better. Makes music very addictive. It’s a lot of enjoyment for £400.

Strangely though it doesn't do much for me with headphones. Maybe my headphones aren't up to the level of my full system. I still use it at as a bedside headphone setup anyway, if nothing else it offers colourful mood lighting, very relaxing for nodding off *biggrin*

Great, i respect your opinion. But as you know online streaming music has become a fashion and comfort. I don't have time to downlod/convert songs and put into my player every weekend 🙁

Now Tidal comes with FLAC support. So how will you enjoy the Spotify/Tidal (with million options with just a click away) on AK Jr. ?
