Castle Avon speakers

I have a pair of castle avon floor standers (10 yrs old)

I was wondering if anyone else owns a pair of these and what hifi they have found to be best matched to them.

At the moment i am using a 15 yr old technics amp and cd player

Any views would be great

this is a mini review from hi fi world in 1996

"Taut, dry bass and lucid midrange but need matching to warm ancilliaries to avoid sounding bright"

that might give you a starting point if you are planning on buying separates to go with them.
