Hi Cno how are you my friend, I have been trying to find you posts on your speaker plinths as I think they may help me tighten up my already awesome bass , I have a wooden floor which has a void below it of about 10inchs / 250mm and I would like to try your speaker plinth design many thanks with any help on this on cheers TM

Hi Cno thanks for that*biggrin* am I right in thinking that the top and bottom are granite ? what is in between them and where can I get it from? sorry for all the questions *biggrin*

It's not a problem.

If you read through that thread from the first page, I describe what's happening.

The top (wood) and middle (acoustic foam) are part of the Auralex Gramma.

The Granite goes underneath.

The wooden surround gives it stability and makes it look better.

You would need spike shoes if using spikes, as the top of the Gramma is covered in a coarse grey cloth.

Remember, it will add height to your speakers, which may lift the tweeters above ear level - not a problem with Kef's Uni-Q.

The Auralex Grammas can be bought from Dolphin Music, Absolute Music and Ebay.

The Granite worktop savers (40cm x 30cm) can be got from Argos etc.

You need 2 Grammas and 4 worktop savers.
