Hi guys, first post, do not know a lot about hifi so ignore my ignorance !

Just purchased the pioneer air studio amp and sacd player plus bx2 speakers.

There are 4 speaker connections on the back of the bx2's, marked lf and hf. Do i need to connect to both ? If not, which "set" do i need to connect to ?

Many thanks in advance of any help !

Hi and welcome to the forums.

The two pairs of speaker terminals are so you can bi-amp ore bi-wire the speakers. You don't have to do this, all you need to do is connect one of the black terminals and one of the red terminals to a standard speaker cable. If you look at the terminals, you should see pair of gold coloured "jumper plates", one connecting each of the black terminals together, I.e. The lf ot the hf, and one connecting the lf and gf red terminals.

If you're still confused, pop over to the monitor audio website, where there's an online manual for all their speakers.

Hi, You should have got a user manual with the BX2's. Connection is detailed in there. If yuo don't have a user manual contact Monitor Audio on 01268 740580 and I'm sure we'd be happy to send you a manual.
