Probably been asked before but is it worth getting a bluray player when being used with an HD ready only tv? I have a Panasonic px80 , 42". I mean will I see a noticable difference from an upscaled dvd on a tv which is not 1080p?,

Hi Nads. Yes I have surround sound. I have kef 2005.2 system but I am using an older av amp. Its a Denon 2803 which was a good amp at the time, well still is but is not able to decode hd. So I will need a player with outputs so i can connect and let the player do the decoding but I don't want to spend more than £300 reallly . Any suggetsions?

Thanks

My TV is HD-Ready 'only' too but it serves an excellent blu-ray treat. SD pictures too.
