blue ray dilemma

Hi guys i was wondering if any one can help me with my problem, i have an lg27lc2r lcd wich is 720p or 1080i i am considering getting bluray player or ps3 what would be the best resolution to have my tv settings at 720p or 1080i also have heard that some scenes could be blurry if your lcd aint 1080p is there anyway to stop this happening any advice would be very much appreciated

No right or wrong answer, just try both and see which you prefer. There's no reason why the picture should be blurry at either resolution - you may be thinking of motion judder which can be a problem if you're set can't natively accept the 24fps output on Blu-Ray discs.
