Best 2 channel speakers for AV amp

I have a Sony STR-DA2400ES amp and the Q acoustics 1010i speaker package, my question is If i want to upgrade to 7.1 whats the best pair of speakers to have as the 'fronts' for mainly music and also movies ?

I thought maybe the B&W 685's would be ideal but perhaps the amp would not do them justice...thoughts ? ?

You would have to be careful changing brands as there will then be tonal differences between the front 3 speakers and you may loose the 'seamless integration' between them....

Doesn't Q Acoustics make a matching floorstander? They're probably a safe choice. ÿ

...Or there's a slightly smaller and cheaper 1030i as well.
