Banana Plugs (Yet Another Question)

I have recently ordered the Cambridge Audio 540a V2 and ordered speaker cable etc. (which I got banana plugs put on the ends). I've come to another stumbling block now where I don't think my speakers do support banana plugs!

If you can tell from this if they do please suggest to me what I should do with my speaker cable? Is there a way I could take the plugs off? Or should I just use basic speaker cable until I can upgrade my speakers in about a month?

It's a bit blurry, but it looks as though the centre caps on the red and black terminals should prize out, leaving a rather-handy 4mm hole...
