Are Coloured Vinyl any good for playing on the turntable? When buying second-hand vinyl LPs, I found a lot of dust on them. After LP cleaning, it sounds like a new LP.

Hi, from my experience there is no sound difference between black and coloured vinyl. Even black is coloured. To wash or deeply clean old dusty vinyls is a must. They for sure sound better and make life for your cartridge/stylus easier. BR.

Interestingly, enough -though perhaps only to me, I do not know; because, my Technics SL-L3 will not play, work with anything but black. I am curious, but no more, as I only borrow new LPs from the public library and I have simply returned the non-blacks it gets.

It's been many years, so I do not recall if I've ever listened to non-black LPs at home.

I'm listening to a new black copy of Tapestry this week.

Could be an issue with many linear tracking turntables I guess.
