Are all CD players really equal?

You keep going in circles 🤦
I'm unsure if it's to try and gain traction with people new to the thread who haven't read my prior messages or not so I will bulletin the finer points.
(I'm not however "Trolling "which seems to be a very apt word to use through my prior posts to quote myself again)

This was a test after all holistically on the differences between three CDP's using their own DACS.

•All three CDP's where connected to the SAME amp using the identical properties of the Hegal H-190' s 2 RCA analogue in.

•All the CD players where facing away with the same CD in (yeah I really do have two copies of Babel "Mumford and sons") apart from the CD 60 that was totally concealed by my large pouffes.

•The Hegal remote was used on all three players NOT just for convenience but because it operates then in unison as a master control, this avoided the different remotes especially the CD 52 MK2 giving it away.

•Having found going INSTANTLY FROM ANALOGUE 1 TO ANALOGUE 2 on the Hegal between the CD 52 and 6007 and NOT finding any difference using identical EVERYTHING and on the contrary, NOT needing to volume match despite a tiny output difference, the 6007 was unplugged.

•The Marantz CD 60 was connected in the CD 6007's place giving me the same instant A/B capability with the IDENTICAL CDS PLAYING AT THE SAME TIME using the Hegals remote to operate them both.
(Understand the CD 60 is slightly faster at loading a CD but from pressing play on a preloaded disk the play initiates at the same time, regardless even as a long time djay who messes purposely with timing when cycling sources it would be hard to spot the overlap, especially after a few swaps)

•The Marantz CD 60 house sound default filter was used in the interest of further fairness and to nullify any possible differences made by the EQ.

•Even the Cambridge audio RCA cables where identical in each player.

Same music, same amp, and as BLIND AS A BAT at which player was playing what, giving they where once again facing away and further concealed by a large pouffes.

What I do want to add is THIS IS A REAL WORLD TEST actually going even further how you would actually demo things at any given hifi store, after all this is what you would want to hear isn't it ? the players through the same gear.
ME going through the extra steps is down to me because I'm a very analytically minded personality BUT it's not the norm when demoing hifi wether it be at home, a show or even a store.

I wish it could be the way I do it with an instant switch between two bits of kit using the same gear even down to identical cables and BLIND with NOT KNOWING WHICH ANCILIERIES WHERE WHICH.
Even using the same remote 🗣️😡

I'm don't mind stating the obvious now, what your on about WOULD INVALIDATE any demo I'd be interested in as I want to hear the actual ancilieries holistically as sold.
I frequent ASR for that kind of thing.

(I actually have the gear to mix the three CDP's together and randomise the samples but why the sweet j esus would I 😂 I do far more djaying for fun and the occasional bit pocket money)
What's prominent is by your replies it's become apparent you haven't fully read my posts and just keep cherry picking what you want THAT'S already covered in the original message to prove your on the other side of the fence with the whole thing, so what I enjoy this forum and value the members including YOU despite the argumentative manner I'd rather you have YOUR OPINION AND I HAVE MINE and move on.

Suffice to say I'm done with this post now, I shared my experience and "opinion" in which seems to be mirrored by the lion share

But theirs always ONE 🫵1

It's all in good fun and seriously no hard feelings on any of it, I'm listening to a little new found gem "The Head And The Heart" that loud I'm involuntarily flinching thinking a driver is going to fly past my heed

Doesn't work with this one, that's why I thought better to use the ignore option.
👍 Good advice,It will be my future option.

Honestly I don't know how more than fairly demoing to a clearly stated opinion in good fun devolved to sniping.
I fully get why my goto at the local HIFI store said he avoids the forums despite his knowledge because of the arguing, I shouldn't of got as involved myself yet it's hard when untrue hurdles are thrown around.
It's hard not to become defensively humerous when even the "needed" length of a replied post is swooped at.

Love your posts Stuart, keep them coming! 👍

I'm not sure it has anything to do with them shielding behind anonymity, that they can make their personal incisions without rebuke.

My demeanor won't allow me to, I believe in common courtesy towards others. I had assumed we have a common lineage that binds us together and that is, our passion for HiFi but it's now obvious to me that they live in another alternate reality from me. 😏

Absolutely likewise 🤝

I noticed early on as my generation experienced the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon with social media towards the last yr of secondary school with it's resulted popularity explosion birthing many a back then "Keyboard Warrior" later to be tagged with the ever more used term 🧌

Like you I too can't see the sportsmanship nor comradary in being purposely provocative over a shared passion FOR no other reason than what's now even got it's own term "Rage-Baiting"
It seems such individuals derive more pleasure by riding the wave of whatever squabbles they can create either directly or worse, by the collateral damage it can cause between otherwise friendly members, and that is what really annoys me, as I've seen it have people leave forums for good.

It's nice to see for the most part everyone can and better still enjoy the swapping of "opinions" but I see most, including me still feel the need to mark their posts defensively with "IMO" etc despite the obvious unwritten understanding that's exactly what is in the posts content.

Hey ho i enjoy logging in to share and read up on what other hifi lovers are up to regardless 😁

Well said.

I honestly welcome the diversity of opinions, never too old to learn something. I recall when I first joined the forum, after I turned my back on Hifi, AWOL for several years- sometimes you need to move on with your life, I received a terrible backlash when I raised the subject of cables.
How could something that is probably the last consideration of the HiFi chain be so toxic?
I realised there's been a cultural shift in my long absence. I haven't changed my opinion on cables, they're the arteries that carry the sound and they're buffers that block out radio interference, solid core and multi-strand cables give different results.

No one is claiming they magically transform the sound, the right choice of cables can result in less degradation to the sound, particularly long cabling. Anyway, I'm drifting but you get the point. 🙂 You may choose to agree or disagree it doesn't matter!

I think in the spirit of this forum, it's important to be cordial and to be fair, most people here are nice folk, who just want to share. 🙂

Your assumption here is that people are trying to 'rage bait'. I'm certainly not.
