Now Lily recently likes flopping out on my (very untidy) desk so I can't do much! Not a high quality shot but gives you the picture - she is normally more fluffy than shown here but is only about 3 weeks in from her visit to the groomer - to get rid of some knots!

Trouble is she lays on the edge of the keyboard and I often get a screen full of zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz or similar if I have a post open!

They look very relaxed - our two don't often curl up next to each other - although they did when they were young. They do often have a game of chase me around the garden, in and out of the borders, up the trees or over fences - very amusing to watch.

Do you have problems with knotted fur? Our white one, Lily, is terrible for that especially when she gets her winter plumage - a bit like trying to untangle cotton wool! She also creates a fuss when we try and groom her but luckily we have found an excellent groomer, reasonably locally, who does a very good job for not too much money! More to the point, Lily does not seem to make any fuss if it is a stranger she can't escape from.
Have you tried grooming mitts? You wear them whilst stroking them. Leeloo tolerates them and they seem to help. Once the dreads have formed it’s too late though.

I bought a suitable brush and started brushing Mavolio every day, very soon after we got him, as he has dense, fine, medium length fur. He soon got used to the idea and, often purrs whilst I'm brushing him. Starting early is the key.

I use this brush https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07R59L7F2?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1 the bristles have ball like ends so, it goes through his fur but, doesn't scratch. Have only had two small, problematic tangles in four years.
