Arcam A65 + P90 vs Naim 5i-2

I currently have a Arcam cd73, Arcam a65 and Proac Studio 110's on Partington Super Dreadnoughts.

Am thinking about upgarding and have aroung £750 to spend. I'm consdiering either adding a p90 power amp which i can get for £490 or replacing the a65 Naim 5i integrated which i can get for £750.

I will of course be home auditioning before making a decision but wondered if anyone had any experience of these options or any other suggestions.

I would personally go the power amp route, unless you could upgrade your CD player. From personal experience the CD73T & Naim don't make the perfect partners.

IMO id be going for the power amp also 🙂

Arcam and Naim, again IMO, have never married well.

Have you considered selling both your existing amp and CD player?

If you like Arcam, you could pick up a CD192 and A90 combo, for about £800, less what you get for your current gear. Then you could keep an eye out for a P90 for a future upgrade.
