Like a wine cellar full of wine you aren't necessarily going to drink but enjoy having?

Do you listen to every single track on Tidal? What's the point in paying for a service that has more tracks than you could ever listen to? 🙂

Well a drunken eBay bid arrived today madness one step beyond first pressing with the misprint and track omission ,bought a couple of job lots yesterday as well so got 67 albums arriving shortly some good titles some bad so will keep what I like and resell the rest

I wasn't being critical at all, far from it just making a comparison. I love records and I love Tidal but don't have a particular allegiance to either.. Tidal is brilliant for casual listening and trying before you buy. Records are for serious listening.

One of my favourite albums ordered. My current copy has seen better days so a mint repress will have to do instead *good*

Picked up a couple of LPs yesterday.

Beth Orton – Kidsticks. A real departure for her, co-written with Andrew Hung from, err, 'Love Buttons'. I like it a lot more than her previous stuff.
Moulettes – Preternatural.

Shostakovitch Symphony No 5 - USSR Symph Orch / Maxim Shostakovitch

Liszt: Les Preludes / Hungarian Rhapsody 2 / Smetana / Vysehrad / Die Moldau - Berlin Phil Orch / Von Karajan

Beethoven Symph 6 'Pastorale' - Wiener Phil / Karl Bohm

The World of Steam Vol 2 - Yugoslavia / Romania / France / Great Britain / Germany

Well chuffed...

I looked for the CD buying thread, but couldn't find it anywhere, so I'm listing them here.

Bought a load of CDs today for 50p each.

The Warlocks - Phoenix

The Mooney Suzuki - Electric Sweat

The Mooney Suzuki - People Get Ready

Tom Waits - Real Gone

Gorky's Zygotic Mynci - The Blue Trees

Johnny Cash - Very Best Of The Sun Years

Stone Roses - Garage Flower

My Morning Jacket - Z

My Morning Jacket - At Dawn

My Morning Jacket - It Still Moves

My Morning Jacket - Chapter 1: The Sandworm Cometh

My Morning Jacket - Chocolate And Ice EP

My Morning Jacket - Chapter 2: Learning

Gruff Rhys - Yr Atal Genhedlaeth

And one record for 50p:

Johnny Keating & 27 men - The Keating Sound

Well, after reading about Paul Simon's Graceland as being one of the best examples of a vinyl pressing I can say I am hugely dissapointed. I just bagged a mint 1986 copy for £4. Gave it a clean with the machine and it sounds very mid range with no bottom and even less top end. It sounds like a dull cd. The mastering on viny is awful.

Maybe that copy has been played to death.

I bought Graceland for 4 quid from a second hand junk shop, and mine sounds fantastic. Maybe keep an eye out for a better/different copy.
