I quite like TD. I had the chance to pick up 5 or 6 early albums, but decided against it due to the quiet passages - concerned about scratches/surface noise, although they looked quite clean.

Popped out to my local shop at 8am... only to find 150 people, with allocated tickets, being let in in batches of 10. *shok*

Being an impatient sort, I buggered off home. I did return there later and picked up the final copy of "The Wizards Of Oz" by Amorphous Androgynous. *biggrin*

Also acquired a used copy of the Get Carter OST.

Just ordered "New Chapter Of Dub", by Aswad.

Note to self: must hide bank cards when inebriated.

Hehehe. I love this comment. It's so true!

Hope you enjoy the album when it arrives, Waxy, even if you are sober.

A bit like that myself, just ordered Rising Sons - Taj Mahal and Ry Cooder + American Beauty - Grateful Dead (Mobile Fidelity) + Bartok, Concerto for Orchestra - Fritz Reiner (Analogue Productions), an eclectic mix I know but I'm like that.

Now just hope I get home to take delivery before the wife notices them......

On a visit to old haunts in Stoke I spent some time in the crazy disorganised madness that is Rubber Soul Records and found the following -

Echo And The Bunnymen - Heaven Up Here

The Human League - Travelogue

Billy Bragg - Back To Basics

Then picked up couple of new releases in Music Mania, Hanley on Record Store Day.

Public Image Limited - Live At The Isle Of Wight Festival 2011

Cocteau Twins - Heaven Or Las Vegas

Picked up the new Dengue Fever LP today - indie rock blended with Cambodian pop and other influences. On transparent beige vinyl, would you believe it, but in spite of that the pressing is pretty good.
