Today, I bought Jeff Beck, performing at Ronnie Scotts, double 180g album. Haven't listened yet.

ok. BBB?

Unless that is a pair of very heavy CDs, I think you've now got the idea of the thread.

Away with work today but yesterday picked up Adele - 19, Radiohead - kidA and Sigur Ros - Kviekur all vinyl. Will be good to get home in a few days and have a listen.

Living at the back of beyond sometimes has it's advantages: yesterday I picked up long sold out Gling-Gló by Björk Guðmundsdóttir & tríó Guðmundar Ingólfssonar in a local shop.

And today I placed an (pre)order for Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited - MOFI 45RPM.

If any of you are interested, hurry while still available at preorder price:

That's quite a rarity, presumably it wasn't cheap?

A few years ago on a trip to Iceland, the guide played this album to us on the coach. I loved it and had to buy it when I found it in a shop in Reykjavik (on CD not vinyl unfortunately). It is a wonderful piece of music and very different to what we've come to expect from Bjork. Hope you enjoy it.

The guy in the shop was clueless - I even managed to get a small discount because the sleeve shows marks of being in the shop for some time.

I knew the album before and I like it very very very much.

Tomorrow morning popping in to Brighton to see my dealer and collect some orders:

The War On Drugs - Lost In The Dream

Metronomy - Love Letters

Elbow - The Take Off And Landing Of Everything

David Bowie - Rebel Rebel (reissue picture disc)

Real Estate - Atlas

Prince Fatty Versus Mungo's Hi Fi

Will have a browse to see what else is about.

If I have time will pop in to a second hand shop but have to be back for the rugby.

Where is this shop? I need to go there I think. 🙂

Since I moved house I have to pass a record store I never knew existed on my way home. Only problem is it's closed when I finish work, well today I finished early so decided to have a look.

Horrible shop really. Stock is in crates on the floor so you have to kneel/crouch to browse, the music is obnoxiously loud and most of the records are in appalling condition and/or ridiculously overpriced. However I did pick up a couple, doubt I'll go back anytime soon.

Fugazi - Steady Diet of Nothing Kate Bush - Lionheart

Popped into Fopp Records in Manchester today, and had a peruse of their ever increasing new vinyl section. I find the prices of new vinyl very restrictive, but I still managed to come away with a couple of LPs for a total of £20.

The Doors - Strange Days

Barefoot Rock with Rainer and Das Combo.

Spent the day up in London and inevitably ended up in Sister Ray's in Berwick Street. Bought the rather wonderful -

Elbow - The Take Off And Landing Of Everything

Beautiful double 180g set and sounds great, once I'd found that it has to be played at 45rpm, not 33rpm!

I think I should get this - is it any good?
