So, in effect, the same principle as a brand placing an advertisement within the magazine or on the website ?

Interesting development.

I'm looking for a venue for my daughter's 8th birthday party - how much does it cost to hire the listening rooms ?

:?

Sounds interesting, I don't suppose you're planning a follow up one in Devon sometime?!

I don't think WHF have an office in Devon.

Where abouts are you then? KEF had a demo day/evening in Barnstaple a year or so back, at Bernard Smith's, that was enjoyable. No free gifts though...

Does this mean that Dali will only be getting five star reviews from now on? :D I mean, it would be harsh to give your friends a bad review wouldn't it?* ;)

Were other manufacturers asked to do evenings or did Dali approach What Hi-Fi? I think if these evenings become the norm with various manufacturers showing their goods then all is ok, otherwise it starts to look like the mag may be less than impartial.

*Tongue in cheek comment obviously :p

It has next to nothing to do with the magazine/website, and absolutely nothing to do with editorial content (obviously).

It's about Dali using our space and hopefully some readers to talk about its new products, and give you guys a first chance to get your hands on them. I guess they kinda thought that might appeal to some people! :)

You seem cross you didn't think of it first.

I am cross.

Very cross.

I just paid out £ 180.00 to book a bowling and laser quest party for my daughter and I could have booked the WHF rooms instead. Although the £ 180 does include food for 10 girls too, so I am not sure what kind of quotes Haymarket can provide for catering to a similarly high level.

She'll be fine when he reveals he's also booked top-class children's entertainer Uncle Simon

I've put my name down but Teddigton Studios isn't the easiest place to get to (unless you live in Teddington, obviously) so if I'm picked hopefully a decent amount of notice will be given so I can arrange to leave the wife and kids a frozen pizza and instructions for how to work the oven.

As to the motives, who cares! A free glass of water, some peanuts and a mystery gift has me sold.

She'll love it if Simon is going to be the entertainer.

I hear that what he can do with balloons has to be seen to be believed.

And when he pokes that furry thing out of the top hat........

Just wanted to say thank you to Dali and What HiFi for a very nice evening - the hospitality was fantastic, it couldn't have been any better.

It was great to hear the Dali products as well - I think all us visitors were extremely impressed with the Epicons.

Similarly the Kubik Free was very good considering its size and in reflection they have made a diverse product, that's modular and easy to use. I can see a lot of people being very happy listening to 2 of them or maybe 2 plus a sub as a lifestyle system.

Thanks very much again for allowing me to come, I had a really nice time
