Thanks Drummerman.

You were the one who kept suggesting Tucana. Anyway, if you look back at the early posts I did say it would top of the list.

As it came with a 3-month warranty, would I find better at the price?

From now on I won't even mention any changes or upgrades.

Just walked in with my amp: Tucana MKII. All can say at this stage is WOW!!!! Somehow I've got to pick my tongue up off the floor.

Couldn't resist any longer.

You have to hear it, to believe it...when it comes to what a great amp can do for a system.

- It will feel like you have upgraded your speakers...as you get bass from them, that you didn't think was possible

- You will hear detail in your recordings that you haven't heard before

- The talents of the amp will continue to unfold over time, as you put on Albums that you think you know and find you don't (as much as you thought).

- Big dynamic shifts will be portrayed more dramatically, making music more exciting, as the Transient Response will be greater.

Enjoy; my friend. *dance4**music2*

Blimey I know Bromley very well. I'm a few miles SW of Bromley/Beckenham/Croydon.... I purchased the Blu-Ray player from RS in Bromley.

It's very doable for me.

Like I say you're most welcome... I work during the week usually, but I am off this coming Monday. If that's too soon, weekends are best.

Thanks Mac for the invite. Now I've got the new amp I would still like to visit your place with the amp and PMCs... we can have a proper shoot-out.

Give me a month or so to become familiar with amp and we can arrange it then.

Best wishes, PP

Why are you always so bloody defensive?

It was a joke and I don't quite understand how you could get it any other way.

Yes, pls don't post about your upgrades again.

Hey that's fantastic news pp, you've made me officially (probably?) the most jealous person on the forum, I've hankered after a Tucana 2 for many years, especially a black one, just haven't really made much effort to find one, or anything else for that matter.

Enjoy my friend, and please feel free to wax lyrical about it, oh and pics are always good *biggrin*

No probs. Seems like Leema are a bit confused. They originally announced the new Pulse ages ago. Then it re-emerged as the Quasar, and now... Pulse IV.

Anyway, the Tucana was way below 2k mark, and even factor in a phono stage it's still sub-2k

And it's got to be better than the Pulse IV....... hasn't it??? :)

Originally £3500...

What a great deal! - I am rather envious - especially as you picked up the black version.

I was tracking the Quasar all last year and in the end, as there was no updates coming out of Leema, I lost patience. The Quasar would have ticked most of my boxes. I did raise the lack of updates with Lee of Leema at the Bristol show this year and he did acknowledge they had strung it out rather too long. I was also looking out for a 2nd hand black Tuscana, but sadly there were none that matched my budget at the time. I have no complaints whatsover with my current Exposure amps, for which I also got a very good deal, but I do still fancy a Tuscana one day *smile*

Pulse 4 + £2300.

It ain't a SuperNait or Exposure 3010 if the new Leema looks anything like the old ones inside. Probably reminds me more of a Nait 5. The DAC features are nice though and I kinda like the look, display except.

S/H Tucana's are less than that and s/h Pulse's much less.

Before casting judgement, let's see how well it's reviewed. It won't be on sale until August this year.

An Exposure 2010 can be had for less than half that of the Leema even with extra phono card. Add a DAC. - The DAC features on the Pulse are nice though and I kinda like the look, display except.

... just love my new bundle.

A review would be good....including where it excels over the Pulse. *smile*

You will, Cno.

Apart from the first half an hour and playing the odd track I've hardly had time to think about it. Very busy bunny.

Within the next couple of weeks I'll give you guys a full run-down. Thus far, though, it's better than anything, by some margine, I've heard in my living room.

Where is the new Pulse being written about? unless I'm losing the plot, it is not showing on Leema's website. Edited - sorry I have just found it.

And I've just read the first review of the new Quasar that has been decribed as the best all in one at any price!
