@Cno just listening to Infected Mushroom for the first time and sounds incredible on my set up

Listening to Infected mushroom on Harbeth speakers just seems wrong to me. Classical, yes. Rock, yeah sure why not? But Infected Mushroom?

It's a bit like catching the queen listening to heavy metal at high volume. It just seems inappropriate somehow.

You know what they say, don't knock it till you try it and it shows what a brilliant all round loud speaker they are

Certainly logical choice if you are going down the CDP route. Me, however, prioritising vinyl.

I'd still really like a Tucana 2, although they're a bit hard to find S/H, so should yours not quite meet with your requirements PP I'd be delighted to make you a very unreasonable offer to take it off your hands *wink*

I've got a slightly ancient Audiolab 8000A powering Neat Motive 2s, bit of a mismatch I guess but it sounds pretty good to my ears, I do have an itch (and I've had it for a while) to replace the Audiolab - the poor old thing's 25 years old now *shok*

Thanks pp, it's certainly very tempting, however on this occasion I think I'll decline your kind offer. When I do upgrade (I know a Pulse would be an upgrade) and I have no idea when that might be, I really want a quantum (squared!) leap in performance, something like a Tucana would fit the bill, or maybe a Supernait?

I just hope the old girl doesn't go fzzzzzzzt while I'm dragging my heels...

You amount of **** i have to go through in this forum with correct english grammar/spelling as to not be told off and corrected by self appointed smart arses and now you even try my native tounge.
For me to type one paragragh correct in english takes me very long.

Having to check spelling etc all the time but i promise to end so ok enough now.
I will say that typing on this forum has helped me to improve my english spelling also.

Pp glad you enjoying the upgrade. Are you considering new speakers? Or just better source equipment.
