About home cinema

Hi,

I am new and have very little knowledge about type of speakers used in home cinema setup. But I am very curious to know is anyone using standmount speakers with av receiver to enjoy home movie? If so, what combination of av receiver and speaker would you recommend for budget under $600?

Standmount speakers for home cinema are very common. You might want to consider a Denon AVR-1910 amp and perhaps the JAMO A102 HCS5 speaker package, as a start.

There are quite a few AV amp + Speaker package deals going on at the moment so I would check these out first.

Tks, as the JAMO A102 HCS5 is very small size, am I still getting a stand for each of them or can I place them on the TV shelf ... certainly I wish I do not loose its quality sound by doing that..

I had the JAMO's and I used those speaker stands from E-Bay....I got 4 for £20.00. Glass bottom and they were perfect for these.
