A Hi Fi for Rock

Would the Marantz CD6003 and PM6003 with Monitor Audio Silver RX6's be a good choice for rock music, Guns n Roses, Led zepplin etc?

Depends on what you like - warm and punchy or lean and fast tend to be the opposing poles as it were. From what I know the Marantz stuff is centre right as you look at the above sentence. I have heard NAD 355 driving B&W 685s and they do the punchy thing very well, to my ears a cracking rockers budget set up.

685's are too laid back for rock. Get some Focal 706V or Mordaunt Short Avianos for rock, metal, or electronic/dance music.
