3D TV and HD TV is anyone else disappointed?

I'm struggling to understand why SKY and TV companies are talking about 3D programming! they have barely started HD programming.

The amount of HD channels is poor and half the shows aren't in HD as they have just shortened the aspect ration on shows like family guy, the simpsons etc and its the same for most of the channels.

I think they need to work on perfecting HD before starting on 3D..

anyone else thinking this?

I think they have every right to do as they please when it comes to what they broadcast. Of course if they invest a lot in 3DTV and very few people subscribe, they'll probably rethink their strategy at some point.

3D, don't care. HD, very happy, getting on for 40 channels in HD now, all the ones I watch are pretty good.

Oh and RATIO!

Well yes they have the right to do what they want i.e. 3D TV but I don't think they have rolled out HDTV successfully at all in my opinion.

and to be moving onto 3D already!
