Xbox 360S + ext hdd & flac files?

Hi,

Totally non game related q, but is it at all possible to use an xbox360s as a hq music player?
I mean hook up a 2tb ext hdd full of flac music and let the xbox decode it and output to an amplifier.
I'm looking to use the xbox just to navigate through and decode the files and output optically to a dac.
Am i screaming at cheese, or is it possible? ray:

I don't beleive you can , i think it only supports mp3, wma and aac

You're right. It's not possible. I've read loads and tried all sorts of things, but I'm afraid the Xbox is really well locked down by Microsoft. Too bad really, it would have made very happy if it did. Back to the drawing board!
