I got this lcd a few years ago and am very pleased with it. However, the recent debates about 24 fps and juddering with motion makes me wonder if i'm stuck with upscaling as my only option. I mailed Panasonic and they said it would not support 24 fps, but elsewhere forum posts suggest that Viera signal processing is so good that this might not be true, so though not on the box, still works. I would hardly regard myself as an early adopter and must feel that many folk who bought into what was supposed to be a standard but then found it wasn't! Anyone either know if this TV can run good hd content ot can suggest a cheap and viable way to test it - no-one I know owns a hd player!

Panasonic Viera 32LXD52 is an HD Ready set, so you will be able to connect a Blu-ray or HD DVD player, though this will need to be set to output at 720p. I doubt it'll support 24fps - only you will be able to judge whether judder is an issue for you, therefore. Are you sure no-one you know is planning to buy a PS3 for Xmas?

If not, don't get disheartened - good upscaling DVD players are still excellent (our movie player Product of the Year was 'only' a DVD player), and you should notice the difference with a good player upscaling to 720p via your TV's HDMI socket.
