Hugely sad news, one of the greatest and most exciting guitarists of my era,I have met him and seen him many times, I hope if he does manage a final tour to see him but it may just be to sad to see my teen hero in such circumstances.

I saw him just once with Dr Feelgood in Bristol sometime between 1975 and 1978.
