wierd problem with slowmotion picture

Hi all,

Need some help diagnosing a problem. I was watching east enders last night playing from my skyhd box onto my pz85b through my onkyo 606 ( hdmi is set to through) and at about two/three times myself and my girlfriend noticed what can only described as 2/3 secs of slowmotion. This was sky plussed and as such we could rewind and reproduce it every time at the same point. Now my first instinct would be the sky box is at fault when playing back recorded material but im sure i have seen it with live material ( i think only when im recording stuff i could swear i saw it on the gran prix this weekend which i was plusing).

My worry is its the tv's processing but that doesnt really make any sense to me ( i already had them exchange the tv once) as i havent seen this issue with anything from my ps3 so my gut instinct is the sk box is faulty.

what do you all think?

Sounds like a Sky box problem to Me rather than the TV. I had a problem with My old Sky+box when it would lock up if I was watching one program and recording another. Turned out this only happeed when the hard disk was reasonibly full.

got over 50% free. I think its a sky problem as well.

Sounds like a box issue.. Even when you are watching live the signal is streamed through the hdd so the fault may be there.
It is always advisable to check your signal aswell tho.
If your in warranty just get sky to send an engineer out and they will chek it all.

The Sky HD box seems to have all sorts of gremlins. Was watching BBC1 (live) via it the other day when there was a sudden glitch in the picture and after that the sound was completely out of synch. Checked the same programme on freeview and analogue and there was no problem. Had to switch the Sky Hd box to another channel and then back to BBC1 to re align the sound and picture.

Im pleased its the sky box as its a brand new install ( less than a month) so not a problem to sort. As i said already replaced the tv once so didnt want to do that again. I love my tv
