Why are these wires here?

With my Ortofon Rondo Red I received a little tube with a tiny flat head screw driver plus 4 small lengths of 26awg wires which I know fits at the back of the cartrige...but why would I need these wires as I have some coming from the tonearm already...(although the small lengthed wires are of much better quality),any ideas?

They are for those using detachable headshells.

Many tonearms have pins or terminals on the cartridge end (or on the removable headshell) and these wires are to connect between the pins on the arm and those on the cartridge. A quick Google will give some images.

If you don't need them, that's just fine.
