Just bought a Panasonic TX-32LZD85, and I intend to buy a DVD/HDD recorder in the next couple of weeks, which will almost certainly be one of the Panasonic models.
On the wish list: Beresford TC-5720
New headphones, possibly Sennheiser HD650s?? But totally undecided on that front, but I'm going to the Bristol show so hopefully I'll get the opportunity to listen to some 'phones.

I have just bought an entirely new cinema and multi room set up as part of my house renovations, something I have planned for a long time before the credit crunch! I will be dropping a bit more very soon possibly on an Pioneer BDP-LX91.

I bought my 50" plasma last year, my speakers (celestion A3's + celestion A1's surr+ center) I've had for years.

Everything else is due upgrading. Well new amp and a BD transport at least. Can't decide whether to large it (Arcam AVR600 territory) or use restraint as the "save up to buy a blinking house" idea is what I'm aiming at in a couple of years. Lets see how work goes.

Now that I've finished building my dedicated cinema room, I'm going a bit mad on the kit (given my meagre budget, anyway!)
  • Denon 2808 (couldn't resist it for under 400 quid!)
  • B&W HTM62 centre speaker
  • B&W ASW610 subwoofer
  • B&W M1 mini-monitors
  • Samsung 26LEA457 LCD TV
Add that to the Daikin air conditioning for the room, and a La-Z-boy couch (arriving next week), and I'm _almost_ spent out... but now looking to get a better amp (and move the Denon into the lounge) and a 1080p projector...

Theres alot to be said for "it could never happen to you" i have saved and saved and worked my B******s off even my wife gave me some dosh she had saved. The kit i had in mind was all pioneer SC-81 Amp- lx-91 Blu-ray player Tannoy Arena-500 speakers QED Cables BK-Monolith and the Pioneer 5090 Plasma,i was well excited and pretty emotional about being able to have such great kit, this is a big purchase and would have given my family much enjoyment, i also consider myself being lucky enough to be able to buy such a great system, i got in tonight from town and my wife said that my boss had called, and could i call him, i did and i have been laid off, the bank will not support him so has lost 3 big jobs, therefore no work i am distraught and very upset, its funny how loosing your job makes you put things into perspective, now its about making this money we had last, its a sad fact that everyone is effected by this crisis at the moment, and like i said you never it can happen to you.Still it would have been a nice system, i think its fair to say that this is why people rather hang onto there money, because they just dont know whats round the corner, anyway there you go.
