Which kind of amp and speakers do you have in your HiFi setup?

Bluetooth is convenient but you lose sound quality, but it has got better over the years with better codecs. Apple AAC is good I understand. If it still sounds good via Bluetooth then happy days! You can keep chasing the best sound possible but it's an impossible task really. If it sounds good, stick with it and enjoy your music!
Bluetooth is not bad on my system but plan to listen to more music Blu-rays going forward again.

I just purchased the Yamaha RN800 to replace my Marantz 300DC...mainly to provide some digital I/O and more flexibility to pre-out to my Moscode 600 (see gear list in signature). The hope is that I retain my solid state sound and can finally add a digital feed from my TV and PC. Also don't underestimate the hidden value of some vintage gear. My little Sherwood S-7200 only pumps out 40 watts, but has a very appealing phono stage and pairs incredibly well with the 30 watt speakers in an old GE console.

Expensive when not use the amp in the yamaha

A wiim ultra streame could do it for less than half of the price of the yamaha

I still need the extra analog inputs for my reel to reel phono and other gear...., and the pure direct analog mode was another selling point. Won't be running my tv or streaming through my tube amp so the yamaha will get good use. Otherwise yes I would have looked more closely at the wiim

Having a centre speaker really separates the vocals from the rest of the musical instruments and sounds, I am loving my 7.1 setup. 😎 Top Gun was awesome too.

Some pictures of my 7.1 setup:

Right now I’m listening to my Klipschorn’s (corner horns) and my Alan Eaton SET type 45 dual mono amplifiers which put out a whopping 1.7 watts of power! Since my speakers have the sensitivity of 105db I can hit peaks of 112db (which is way to loud but incredibly clear with absolutely no distortion) plus I’m only using 0.8 watts instead of the volume all the way up at 1.7 watts. Took me over 50 years to find my private nirvana.
Sorry, I tried to add a couple of pictures but it says I need extensions, haven’t a clue what that means?

I have my computer running to SMSL D1, TV to SMSL PS100, DACs to Adcom GFP-345, Adcom GFA-535II to Cerwin Vega CLS-10, Adcom GFA-555 to Cerwin Vega CLSC-15. I have a Monitor Audio FB-210 and Def Tech PF-700 but they are not connected.. no subs needed. I do have a 7.1 setup tucked behind my couch.. but I like music too much to plug that back in. At least right now. This is waay more fun lol..
