Are still going to run a 5.1 setup or just a 2.1 now.Is there any shop I could trade in/sell my old speaker package with? They would’ve to be collected from our house and have no boxes. In great condition though. Thanks
Edit, I have decided not to trade them in or sell them in case I want to use them in the future again with my new speakers. I know they are compatible now so I will just keep. Thanks They are barely worth anything too, considering the quality of them.
I am just running 2.0 at the moment and really like that. Are still going to run a 5.1 setup or just a 2.1 now.
I am wondering the same as trying to get rid of my Quad AV speaker set.Is there any shop I could trade in/sell my old speaker package with? They would’ve to be collected from our house and have no boxes. In great condition though. Thanks

I have for now just put half of them into my spare room and half in my main bedroom, as I wanted to unclutter my main bedroom a bit. I never knew you had AV speaker set!I am wondering the same as trying to get rid of my Quad AV speaker set.
Probably easier to sell them separately.
Didn't see you has a AV kinda guy Al 😉I am wondering the same as trying to get rid of my Quad AV speaker set.
Probably easier to sell them separately.
What are you going to use it for? Is it to have a separate Hi Fi or to use in conjunction with your receiver and double up for AV and stereo.Just bought a Marantz pm6007 for £269 brand new! 🙂
To use as a separate HiFi (I think). What are you going to use it for? Is it to have a separate Hi Fi or to use in conjunction with your receiver and double up for AV and stereo.
I have the older version good Amp .you will need a optical cable to connect your TV Gel.To use as a separate HiFi (I think).
I got an optical cable but probably won’t hook it up to the TV. I got a Logitech Bluetooth device I will use.I have the older version good Amp .you will need an optical cable to connect your TV Gel.
The optical option from TV to amp is better, no doubt.I got an optical cable but probably won’t hook it up to the TV. I got a Logitech Bluetooth device I will use.
i agree .The optical option from TV to amp is better, no doubt.
I do it too, works fantastic and the sound is as good as it gets.
With my old speakers I will use them as a 2.1 system for the Marantz and keep my Pioneer for TV use, besides last time I tried to hook up the Cambridge Audio by optical cable, I couldn’t get it to work on my TV.They certainly look the part, hope they sound good too.
have you got a use for the old speakers? can you utilise them as side or rear speakers?
I just seen what you meant and yes I can hook it up by Bluetooth to the TV, I didn’t think that before! Wicked. 😎The optical option from TV to amp is better, no doubt.

Yes, pairs of speakers seem to sell better than whole AV sets.I have for now just put half of them into my spare room and half in my main bedroom, as I wanted to unclutter my main bedroom a bit. I never knew you had AV speaker set!
Selling them separately might be an option for the future. Thanks
I´m a bit confused.I just seen what you meant and yes I can hook it up by Bluetooth to the TV, I didn’t think that before! Wicked. 😎
I am not at the moment but I have my Pioneer amp hooked up by HDMI to my TV and that works great. When I tried to hook up my Cambridge Audio to the TV it wouldn’t do it by optical cable as my TV I couldn’t get to connect right. So now Bluetooth is an option or optical cable I will try both. Thanks.I´m a bit confused.
Are you using Bluetooth to connect your tv to your amp(Marantz pm6007)?
If you are, don´t. If both your tv and the Marantz have optical (the Marantz has it for sure, not sure about your tv), use that and discard Bluetooth
2 amps. 😛 1 TV.Bloody hell, how many amps are you connecting to the tv (1 tv, right?) 😀
If you were using HDMI already, that is most likely the reason why you could not use the optical connection at the same time. The TV wouldn´t allow it.2 amps. 😛 1 TV.
On my tv i able to change speaker output to optical/TV/Hdmi but has you say only one at a time .The TV will by default select HDMI if its connected. If you were using HDMI already, that is most likely the reason why you could not use the optical connection at the same time. The TV wouldn´t allow it.
It may be something that can be changed in the settings, but I´m not sure as I don´t know your TV.
