Hi guys&clare,

Could you please inform us of what projectors will be in the supertest next month? If you will be reviewing the X10 or 800X then I will definately hold out on pressing the buy button I find myself hovering over at least 5 times a day lol. If it won't then I think I will just take the plunge and order one as I have been told if it isn't any good I can return it no questions asked (except I would have to pay shipping back and a restocking fee).

Looking forward to your reply.

Thank you.

Damn, Clare mentioned that you guys had a range of the cheap projectors in and were going to do a test to find the best one. I (and a few others) were really hoping to see a comparison of the Infocus X10 and the Optoma HD800X, 2 1080P units for under £1K.

I live in hope.

Damn shame. Do you have the models mentioned above in the offices? If so what are the chances of getting reviews/comparisons show up soon? Maybe on the site rather than the mag perhaps.

I don't know what we have on-site at the moment, but I doubt much will be put up ahead of the magazine publication for a while, as both the website editor and deputy editor are on holiday, and the review crew is flat-out in Awards judging and testing.

I'm sure we'll have some reviews up online, but they'll only be of products about to appear in the magazine, for obvious time/workload reasons.

To clarify, we're doing the test for our Awards judging (just finishing up projectors today, as it happens) - reviews will appear as we get the opportunity. Some will appear in First Tests in next issue, I believe, with best product named in our Awards issue and reviews of the rest appearing online.

Hi Claire,

Will these new sub £1000 projectors be compared against the panasonic pt-ax200e? seeing as though it won the last group test......

I know its a 720p model but you rated it higher than the benq w5000 1080p......Thanks

Yep - we're far more concerned with actual performance-per-pound than raw tech specs, so the baby Pana is going up against all its newer competition.

Hi Claire,

Just an update for us that are waiting for the reviews of the new cheap 1080p projectors! Is there any news from your side on the optoma and infocus?

Cheers
